New York City offers a fantastic array of Thanksgiving dining options this year, from cozy traditional feasts to upscale, indulgent experiences. From Midtown to Harlem to Brooklyn, there’s a Thanksgiving table set for every style and taste—perfect for those looking to celebrate in unforgettable NYC fashion. Here are some of my favorites:
Downtown
The Dutch on Sullivan Street features a modern twist on the classical with Turkey as main course but try oysters or Wagyu beef appetizers - $155/pp.
Want a traditional meal at a steal? Check out The Elgin in midtown, just $38/pp for the main course and all the trimmings. If you are feeling stuffed, go home and take the pie to go, or stay here and enjoy! Get the full prix fixe for just $59/pp. https://www.elginnyc.com/
One of my favorites for a clubby atmosphere and NY classic ambience is Tavern on the Green in Central Park. For $135/pp you can have the traditional prix fixe, or if your group includes picky eaters, they can substitute chateaubriand or Scottish salmon for the main course. https://lnkd.in/eHfyemTs
Harlem
I have been to Red Rooster for brunch, but not for dinner. Foodies adore chef Marcus Samuelsson and he is doing a full buffet in the downstairs Ginny’s Supper Club for just $75 plus $15 additional for the music charge. There will be a variety of musical guests throughout the day. They will also be serving formal dinner in their upstairs dining room. https://lnkd.in/epWgpttH
Upper East Side
For those who favor sheer decadence for the Thanksgiving holiday, The Mark Restaurant, in the hotel of the same name, is one of the best places to be! Thanks to Chef Jean-George you will find all the special touches you are hoping for starting with a welcome serving of caviar which precedes the appetizers. You won’t be disappointed! At 228 pp this almost seems reasonable! https://lnkd.in/ey85CGjQ
Brooklyn
I have always been a big fan of hotel restaurants. If you find yourself in Brooklyn, check out Le Crocodile at The Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg. This highly regarded French Restaurant is doing a traditional prix fixe at $163/pp. The NY Times rates them as one of the top 100 restaurants in NYC. They even offer a special discount to those who are staying at the hotel for a minimum of three nights! https://lnkd.in/eDypyWq3
